KT 7 RAID BIOS QUESTION?

Do I have to do anything with the bios on a KT7 Raid after all the devices are installed and I am ready to boot? Will the board auto detect my processor, hardware and multiplier speed or do I have to put my own settings in? By the way, what should the multiplier speed be for a 1.2 thunderbird if i do need to put it in the bios?

I'd suggest loading the bios setup defaults. The motherboard will post your CPU speed but you will need to go into the softmenu setup and set the CPU speed. You can set the speed by doing a + or - while the cursor is on the CPU speed, or change the CPU speed to User Defined then set the multiplier to 12x. If you don't have anything connected to the RAID controler then disable it in the integrated devices page of the bios. Otherwise you're set to go.

No...don't do that what ever you do....for the love of god.

What you need to do is set your voltage to 1.5 volts and your multiplier 5.5. This should keep your 1.2 GHz thunderbird @ a blazingly fast speed.

P.S. If you took me seriously....you need help

I will have my Hard Drive connected to the ATA Raid Controller IDE number 3. So you are telling me that I will have to set my CPU speed for 1200 in the soft menu and I will have to set my multiplier for 12x. The auto detect won't do this for me automatically?

If you load the defaults, mine only goes to 550mz, I have to manually set it to the right processor speed. Mines a 1 gig unlocked, so I don't know if it reads it right.
Also my default voltage goes to 1.85v wich is too high, it reports 1.99v in the monitor and also in MBM 5.1
I had to set mine back to 1.7v and it reads 1.83 in the monitor utility.
I'ts stable as hell though, so I'm not sending it back.
Look out for these things when setting it up. especially if it's unlocked.
I'm getting the MSI Pro2 as I just put one together.
Will sell the KT7 Raid board at a loss., as soon as I get the MSI board.
