Do you have to tie them individually? Will they biodegrade in a short while, or am I stuck picking up all these water belloon...casings, lol.

I think it's a cool concept but depending on how expensive it is thought obviously it could flop but it's great for summer time.

Looks like it auto ties them. I'd only be worried about how long it takes to get it setup to fill but if they are doing 100 in a minute, then it should take only 15 seconds or so to set it up to fill.

Nevermind, I'm retarded, I didn't realize that the filler is meant to be trashed and you have to buy their balloons.

Hrmm $15 for 100 water balloons in a convenient package? That doesn't sound terribly priced. I don't understand how they tie themselves? Oh I see, there's a rubber band around each balloon that closes when the tube is pulled out.

FAQ
Are they one-time use?
Yes. Reloading would be almost as difficult as tying and the whole point is to make it fast and easy, right?

What do you do with the leftover stem?
Recycle it! We really thought about environmental sustainability in the design of this product. The stem is made from recyclable polypropylene plastic, number 5 if your community sorts plastics at the curb. Think of it as packaging for your balloons (that you don't have to tie).

Are the balloons biodegradable?
Yes. They are made from natural rubber and even have an additive that accelerates the process in the presence of sunlight.

Are the elastic o-rings biodegradable?
Yes and no. The design calls for natural rubber o-rings, but we have not been able to procure a reliable supply at this time. For now we are using synthetic rubber, and will convert to natural rubber as soon as possible. Meanwhile, keep in mind each package Bunch O Balloons contains only .015 ounces of synthetic rubber, about the same amount that wore off of your tennis shoes last month.

Certainly more expensive that just buying a package of 100 balloons, but it's still a pretty rad idea. 200 balloons, for example, is quite a few and would make for a good water balloon fight. I can see it being useful for parties, and it's worth $30 (imo) to save the time if you're throwing that many balloons.

Realistically how many times are you really going to use this item during the Summer? Once, maybe twice. Also, are you really going to make 100 plus balloons. It seems excessive and expensive.

As they say in the hit TV show Shark Tank "I'm out."

Kids should have to fill/tie their water balloons by hand, it builds character.
Future engineers will put together an efficient assembly line.
Particularly enterprising ones will also build a trebuchet and demand unconditional surrender.:)

My water balloon fights always played out the same way; ask a friend if he wants to toss some water balloons, get him to help me fill them, as he kneels down to attach a balloon, turn on the hose and spray him relentlessly. Now if you invented an attachment so I could trick 37 people into getting sprayed simultaneously, I'm totally in.

Wal-Mart sells 200 balloons for $1.99 and includes a filler nozzle.

$28 savings over this guys product. If you could fill 200 in an hour, that's roughly 3-ballons per minute, you save $28.

Over priced and wasted packaging.

But those with a tactical sense will realize the trebuchet is the wrong weapon for a water balloon fight. They would prefer something more akin to Hwacha.
