And their stick donuts are pretty good.

BTW, here in Ohio stick donuts are common, but other places I've been give me funny looks when I ask about stick donuts.

Anywhere else besides Ohio have stick donuts?

And Krispy Kreme's regular coffee is good.

more on stick donuts. A long time ago, in the 1960s there was a REAL KRISPY KREME donut place across from Graceland shopping center in Columbus,Ohio. Like any NORMAL donut shop, they made great stick donuts. It closed sometime in the 1970s I think.

Then a few years ago these new KRISPY KREME chain stores opened here in Columbus. They are pretty good, but not nearly as good as the old one. And at the new ones they have never even heard of stick donuts..

Tim Horton's has stick donuts too. 🙂
i love those as well!!

"Wtf are stick donuts? Are those like eclairs or something?"

They are glazed cake donuts, but stick-shaped instead of round. They end up crunchier somehow. I know they don't sound that different but it's like comparing french fries and hash browns, sound the same, but taste quite different.
They don't have filling in them.

If Tim Horton's has them, I haven't seen them in Columbus. tim does make some other good donuts tho, Boston cream and Canadian Maple are great !

Machine that can make stick donuts 🙂

The donuts were great as always (fresh out of the oven!)

Dont you mean, FRESH OUT OF A BUBBLING VAT OF HOT GREASE?

Krispy Kreme are OK, the Best donuts are Shimpleys. NOBODY can touch them.

Azraele's weird... 😉

Have you eaten them fresh, right out of the machine? Fresh, and two hours old are completely different experiences...

1) The best doughnuts are the ones you make at home yourself. Mmmmmmm. 😀
2) WTH? You don't know what a Tim Horton's is? 😕

Here's a good article on it. Excerpt:

To you or me, Tim Hortons might seem like just a doughnut shop. But in Canada, the chain is a cultural icon. Founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, by a Canadian hockey star, Tim Hortons is part Dunkin' Donuts, part McDonald's, part coffeehouse, and part neighborhood diner. It's where Canadians still go for "a coffee and a smoke"--a phrase you don't hear much these days south (or in Detroit, north) of the border.

Another one:
The Boardwalk Tim's, which has a refrigerated display case, has even more pastries, including white-frosted, fully decorated miniature cakes and tiny two-inch tarts with fruit or butter and sugar fillings. The latter, called butter tarts, are particularly popular in Canada. I found them so rich and sweet they made my teeth itch, but my Canadian husband positively craves them.
Canadian husband craves them? MrsSkoorb? Is that you writing the article? 😕

You go there for the Wings! Woot!

What are YOU paying attention to at Hooters? 🙂

Yes, their wings are very good, but that still isn't why you go. 😀

I don't like the coffee either. And being diabetic I cant have the donuts. Always ask for them before they are glazed.
