... their coffee is crap. :disgust: Last night I picked up a dozen glazed donuts and a vanilla capachino. The donuts were great as always (fresh out of the oven!) but their coffee is just SO bad. The two times I've tried their coffee, I've had to toss it out because it's worse then mud. Am I the only one who noticed this?

My thoughts exactly. I'm a donut whore - if it's an inner-tube shaped edible fried food, I'll scarf it down. But I hate coffee.

I'm more than a little pissed off by the fact that I can't drink Tim Hortons down in AL, and yet you, a damn yankee can guzzle it whenever you want :D

I would suggest ordinary plain coffee instead on the vanilla crap. the vanill ais the problem.
Dunkin Donuts coffee is actually not bad.

Krispy Kreme donuts are the shizzle...but I agree that their coffee is like drinking hot motor oil.
Dunkin Donuts has the BEST coffee, but IMO the donuts aren't quite up to par.
Never been to Tim Hortons but I'll make it a point to try it out if I find myself in an area with one.
Unfortunately, here in So. Cali there's a dearth of Dunkin Donuts..I think there's like 1 within any sort of reasonable distance. :(

1) Krispy Kreme doughnuts rule. We especially love to get them when the "Hot & Now" sign is lit :D Also, they were started about an hour away in Winston Salem, NC
2) What the hell is Tim Hortons?

Tim Hortons is a place that sells lots of donuts and other morning delectables, along with breads/sandwiches and soups...mostly a morning/lunch joint. I didn't even know we had any near me (Troy/Ann Arbor, MI), until I saw that there was one in the basement of the Michigan Union! I've seen these things all my life at rest stops on my way to Cleveland/Pittsburgh/Toronto, but now they've invaded Michigan. :)

And there aren't any Dunkin' Donuts near me anymore...:( Very few Krispy Kremes as well.

there are 3 Timmy's on one corner here... a few select people on AT know which corner i am referring to!!

I don't know how anyone who likes coffee can drink the swill at Tim Horton's. I guess it's "The Same" principle, you can get the same crappy coffee at any Tim Horton's just like you can get the same crappy burger at every Mickie D's.

Scope!

yeah... does your place of work have free coffee?
I don't drink coffee really... only Starbucks frappos... yum :)

I don't think I've ever heard of Tim Hortons either... DD used to be the only game in town and still is for the most part. There's a ton of bagel joints though in north NJ.

again im gonna be alone on this but..

IMO

Krispy Kreme donuts suck compaired to thoes at Dunkin Donuts or the ones made at Giant - The Gorshery Store

Starbucks makes teh WORST coffee in existance. and you have to speak some strange language to even order one. And the 1 time i was there it took me 30 min of argueing with the moron behing teh counter to get a Large Black Coffee. which ended up costing like 5$ and tasted like crap. i can but coffee grounds for 5$ and make coffee for a month. absoutly pointless

If you don't like the coffee...get the donuts to go and brew your own. :D

I just like the 'hot donuts' when they're extremely fresh. I don't care as much about what I use to wash them down...unless it's another donut.

White Castle makes some good coffee..mm. And their stick donuts are pretty good.

BTW, here in Ohio stick donuts are common, but other places I've been give me funny looks when I ask about stick donuts.

Anywhere else besides Ohio have stick donuts?

And Krispy Kreme's regular coffee is good.

edit-more on stick donuts. A long time ago, in the 1960s there was a REAL KRISPY KREME donut place across from Graceland shopping center in Columbus,Ohio. Like any NORMAL donut shop, they made great stick donuts. It closed sometime in the 1970s I think.

Then a few years ago these new KRISPY KREME chain stores opened here in Columbus. They are pretty good, but not nearly as good as the old one. And at the new ones they have never even heard of stick donuts..

Dead Parrot Sketch- favorite donut- stick donut.
