Krazy Kooling Question

I have a water cooled abit bx6 R2 with a 750 OC'd to 968. My RT1 (chip diode) temp will run 47-49 with water cooler or the Intel heat sink.

Meanwhile, with the sink mounted heat sensor, the RT2 temp is 42-45 with the Intel heat sink. On the Water cooled, it drops to 31-35. The RT1, however, does not change!

Put a case fan to blowing onto the slotket and the RT1 temp drops to 39. Again cooled water or room temp water does not affect it when water cooled.

However, if you cut off the water pump, the RT2 heat sink temperature jumps up to 44, while the RT1 remains unchanged! Cut on the pump and the heat sink drops back down to 28-33, as the water supply gradually warms.

Any ideas? Yes, there is thermal compound between the cpu and each type of heat sink.
