Hi I just a new kr7a riad. Here is the problem. I ran sandra and the drive bench mark is only about half what it was on me old raid set up. I get about 26000, where I use to get almost 42000. IN the device setup under the hard drive it sees it as a scsi device. And no dma is availible. Any know what the problem is?
Abit kr7a raid set to riad 0 drivers 2.0.1024
Athalon 1700+ Not over clocked
2X256 crucial pc2100 DDR
highpoint drv 2.0.0919
two IBM 45gig ata 100 drives
win 2k ser pac 2 installed
each drive set as master on its own channel.

any help would be appreciated

Mine shows up as SCSI too. I get high 20's for my 2 drive raid as well. These are 5400's. The benchmark sample for 7200's shows as low 40s, should a dual 5400 raid score be higher?

Might be because you're using a software RAID array... not a hardware driven array. (Hardware being a PCI card). Head over to Anand's site and look @ his IDE RAID comparison. It has both there (HW and SW).
