I'm a bit paranoid. KOTOR II isn't being done by Bioware, but instead looks like Lucas Arts took it over. I hope they keep the same engine and don't screw up what was a nearly perfect game.

I read about it awhile back and it stated nothing is being done to the engine except maybe a few touch ups. They are also re-using a lot of textures from the original and just adding where they can. It is more of an expansion pack than a whole new game as far as I'm concerned. But if they market it as a whole new game, they can charge full game price. Either way, if its the same KOTOR with a new story, I plan to buy it.

Yeah, it is. It looks almost exactly the same. Except that your char from KOTOR (don't want to spoil anything here. ;) is consipuously not in it. Maybe flashes here and there from what I understand.

Can two people play seperate games of KOTOR at the same time. I want to play, but I'm afraid that aves's game will be erased. Can I play my own game, while he plays his?

picked it up this weekend and have played for about an hour so far. I already have a feeling the wife will not be seeing much of me for the next couple of weeks.

You`re lucky,I finally got round to ordering this game lastweek (just finished Doom 3,Jedi outcast,Halo to name a few) and it arrived today, guess what?....CD 1 of KOTOR was missing so I phoned them(online order) and they said they have had a bad batch and some of their customers have had the same problem, anyway I had to send the game back and I`m hoping I`ll get my replacement by nextweek.

Lol I was really looking forward to playing this game this weekend ,btw KOTOR 2 is due around December so I`m hoping I `ll finish the first one by then.

not sure about the pc version, but on the xbox, there are multiple save game slots, so you should be all right. Onle the autosaves will switch over depending on who's currently playing.

KOTOR is the only game in my life that once i've beaten it, i replayed it. Tried for a 3rd time, but even KOTOR is not good enough to keep my attention for that long.

..I was under the impression that fable was made by lionhead studios (Peter Molyneux's company) and published by microsoft, while KOTOR was made by bioware and released by lucasarts..

yes, multiple games at once is fine :)

I haven't gotten to play it yet. He already beat it as the lightside, now he's playing it the other way. I'll wait until he beats it again before I play! :D

I tried not to watch him because I didn't want to see how he beat anything. I wanted to go into the game, never seeing what's going to happen.

I've been hearing so much good things about this game. Is it like turn based RPGs (like final fantasy)? Thats really the only RPGs that I like.

The battles are turn based.
Nope, they're not turn-based. In turn-based every character moves on his own turn, they don't move the same time. KOTOR is a mix of Real-Time and Turn-Based. Some have called this system as Phase-based. So the combat in KOTOR is not true turn-based.

Err....nope. BioWare didn't make Fable. As SKC said Lionhead Studios are the makers of Fable.

I must say, KOTOR is the best RPG ever from BioWare!

its live action the action does not pause and take turns like FF or the other japenese games do..

Yes, you can. On the PC you can have a virtually infinite number of save points.. just don't overwrite ones that aren't yours! :->

Because you can pause at any time and tell your characters what to do? It's turn based, but the turns are invisible unless you explicitly want it to be.
