KotOR will not work :(

I have a computer with 512MB ram, 1.8GHZ CPU and a Geforce2 MX, anyways, when playing the game, I can get past the first level, but at the second level, it becomes unstable, causing the charactor to run in only one direction uncontrolably, it becomes very glichy, and does not stop running.

I think it is probibly a problem with the video card, but I might be a cooling problem as well (dont have any temps here, sorry). Any sugestions before I spend 100+ on a new card?

Make sure ya patch the game if there are any updates available....make sure you are running DX9 (which I think KOTR requires)..

Just finished the game (for the first time, it has replay value) and really enjoyed it.

They are up to the third patch. I'll post back with the link.

The patch is on this page and this is tech forum for the game. If the patch doesn't sove it all, go there for detailed help maybe. I'm running 98se and didn't have any problems after the first or second patch. Haven't tried the 3rd patch yet.
