Wow, ROFL, I just started KOTOR today, and I played like 3 hours without noticing... The game is so fun...

look at the backgrounds in kotor, you can literally waste time spinning the mouse around looking at everything, it doesn't look anywhere as good in the 2nd one

but the biggest problem with the 2nd one is that it is quite obviously unfinished, you reach a certain point and everything stops making sense

2nd one drones on forever. i like long games as long as the story is good, it's not. 1st one gets an A+

The only improvement in KOTOR 2 was some stability issues, (that didnt really get fixed) and a menu that scales with your resolution. Also, it was nice to have several party members who could become Jedi during the game. And the new elite classes along with new powers was neat.

But the game itself just stinks. Story was horrible compared to Part I.
Its like they hired a bunch of no-talent writers floating around Hollywood, just so they could get a new game out.

been playing KOTOR 2 here for about a week... obviously this thread is dead but i just wanted to chime in and say that KOTOR 2 is still every bit as addicting as KOTOR 1.

i'm liking the different light saber techniques and pre-set behaviours you can set for your characters. another kick ass game imho.

Lol - me too! I went out and bought both I and II today, after hearing so many good things about them. Very fun and engrossing. It's been a long time since i've played a good RPG that you can really sink your teeth into and lose yourself for hours.

It is a single player role playing game. It might be right up your alley. :)

there isn't ANY improvement in GFX from 1 to II.

I finished the first one rather quickly. Maybe I played too much, but it took me 3-4 weeks. But of course that could be enough time for the 2nd one to go bargain bin :).

FAR and away.
Agreed. I'd recommend KotOR I to anyone but KotOR II was a snooze-fest and very uninspired.
