Yep, i have to say this is one of the best game of the year. There are certainly some faults, but it's been a great experience. Infact, i have never played a game TWICE in a row. My ADD just normally would make me lose my patience. But infact, i played it 2.5. First time through i kinda rushed the story, i wanted to know how it end. Second time i was going to try evil, but halfway through the game, i didn't like being evil, so i quit. 3rd time through i did almost every sidequest imaginable i think.

Is KotOR typical of other Star Wars games? If so, I will try the others after I go through this one a few times.

jedi knight 2 is also pretty good, so is its expansion from what i hear. those are FPS though. fun but not as immersive.

Unfortunately, that's a big no: KotOR is not representative of the mass of Star Wars games, which are mostly poo. The Darkforces/Jedi Knight series (excluding Academy) are good, but as the other guy said, they're also FPSes. I haven't seen a non-FPS Star Wars game that I could honestly label as being "good."

For me, FPS and good game are not mutually exclusive. Are they good FPS games at least? Or should I just wait for Doom III for my next big FPS fix?

Hell no. All other SW games suck ass IMO (aside from Star Wars Galaxies).

Jedi Knight 2 is better than a good game, it's one of the greatest FPSes of our time. Hehe. It's right up there with Half Life, Deus Ex, etc.

Nope, most star wars games aren't that great. There are a few nice ones like X-Wing Alliance and the Rogue Squadron games, and Jedi Knight 2 and 3, but I'd say most of them are mediocre at best.

It's a nerfed version of Outcast, IMO.

kinda disapointed, game logger tells me I have spent about 38 hours in this game so far, +6 or so because of reloading save games and now I'm so close to the end and I dont want it to finish, I want more:p

I've got just under 6 hours in on the game and I've not even raced the swoop bike yet. I'm doing EVERYTHING I can find to do. And is that little bounty hunter Calo whatever a badass or what? He killed me, my wookie, and my Twi-lek chick before I could get one good hit on him. :Q I just let him walk by after that. :D

Now play through the game on the opposite side of the force, to see things from an entirely different point of view. Hehehe. It's hard being evil!!!:beer:

It took me over 54 hours to play it Light Side on the Xbox and I've got over 24 hours on the PC playing darkest of Dark Side. (I lied to the Jedi Council TWICE and and got a Dark Master bonus!) There are so many little side bits, it's impossible to hit them all on a single trip, so the people sneering that it's too short are bozos.

For example, there is a whole murder mystery quest on one planet that only triggers if you have a certain person in your party and if you haven't gotten them yet before going there, you'll never see it.
