Edit: BTW how did you managed to stay at level 2? You don't do any of the side quests?

I think they don't level up until they become a Jedi. But even then, i would think level 2 would be impossible.

i've heard of people killing bendak as level 2 scoundrel so i think it's possible. difficult and somewhat of a cheat but it's possible.

You don't need to fight Bendak though. He's a side story.

But yeah, i would think Scoundrel would be the way to go. You would invis through the really hard parts, and for battles like Davis, you would use mines and have them chase you into them.

yep, thats exactly what i did. it was extremely hard sticking to level 2 until dantooine, but after playing thru the first time and looking at all those wonderful jedi powers, that i couldn't have cuz i had hit level 20 already, was enough to push me. it just added a little more depth to the difficulty level and increased the replayability even more.

I beat Bendak easily by not taking him on until I'd leveled up to 4 or 5 and getting some armor. Before talking to Jabba, I shot up with slew of stims, quickly clicked thru the dialogue and whupped him but good.

I tried to hold off on leveling up, but I needed to bump to stay alive. Maybe next time.

All right, someone please explain why you'd hold off on leveling up. I'm not following this at all.

You can only have a combined total of levels totally 20 and any levels gained as your initial class come out of your potential Jedi rank. The first time I played, I leveled up every time I could and was at Level 8 before becoming a Jedi, thus I could only gather 12 Jedi levels before facing off againt the final boss and lacking Force powers made it difficult. If you hold off on leveling, you get a few extra Force powers in the arsenal and a bigger Force pool to draw from.

It's important to choose Force powers that match your alignment and style of play, cuz you pay a penalty for using opposite side powers. (e.g. If you're playing Light Side, use Cure to regain health; Dark Side uses Drain Life) It sucks at times not to have armor cuz you're loaded with stuff like Force Lightning, but so far, I've been able to get along.

Personally I find the final boss a tad easy.. I hardly used my force powers.

I just kept on hacking him with my dual bladed light-saber using flurry attack.. wears him down and just needed a few life-support pack to keep myself alive.

The game is based on D20 rules, so from level 1-20 in a single game is quite an accomplishment actually... or should be. Thats one of the problems with KOTOR, even my very first time playing it, i had it on difficulty setting, and i think i only died twice in the game.

When I first grabbed KoTOR I spent every spare minute I had playing it for a few weeks, ended up playing through four or five times IIRC before I had enough to get the addiction out of my system. I'm somewhat kicking myself for not picking it up on the PC yet(they have supposedly added some new stuff) although I certainly will be, my wife and kids have liked having me around for the holidays though ;)

For people thinking the game is too short, I've beaten Morrowind in just over seven hours(cheap way, 'back door'), and even when I played through Morrowind the 'proper' way I didn't enjoy it remotely closely to how much I enjoyed KoTOR.

I hope they make an expansion pack to this game. I'm almost done and I don't want it to end. :(

Well, bad news. A BioWare developer over at the BioWare forums has stated that there are no plans for a KotOR expansion pack. :( Too bad.

I'm playing through a second time now, I decided to try to get to Dantooine with as low a level as possible. I made it as Level 3. I just completed Tatooine with as much Jedi power as I had when I faced Malak. It's a whole new experience. :)
