They actually played the floyd cover as a part of their show when they were on the Projekt Revolution tour this summer. It was pretty good. I doubt they intend to release any sort of single or anything, though.

You Korn haters are hilarious. Just because you are old and unfamiliar with modern music, you don't have to crap on it. Keep listening to your Bob Segar and John Mellancamp records and leave the youth to their music!

Korn is extremely original. Why do you think they are doing these covers recently? Because they wanted to try something new and release them on their greatest hits album. Covers aren't a disservice to the original artist, IF the new artist uses their own style.

That song is absolutely horrible. Even my brother the "Korn is god" boy hates it.

you, sir, have alot to learn. youth music? you mean the RIAA fostered crap designed to convince teenagers their anger is justified? RIIIGHHT. Korn is about as original as one of the hairs on my butt. now sit down, sonny. I'm gonna drop some knowledge on yo' ass. They're doing covers becasue their producer knows that recycling an old hit will make them a ton of money without doing any real work. Covers aren't necessarily a disservice to the original artist, but they are when:

1) the covering artist is just out to milk anothers hit for more money (i.e. korn)
2) the covering artist is pretty much trash (i.e. korn)

want real rebellion instead of barbie rebellion? Turn off MTV, and turn off the radio. you won't find it there.

old foggey out.

BTW, I'm 22, and I hate john mellencamp.

Amazing. Bob Seger and Mellencamp? Are you kidding? Hell I didn't even listen to Zepplin until I was in my late teens because I just didn't ever hear them on the radio or TV, so how was I supposed to get exposed to them?

I'm 26, and I assure you that I have forgotten more about "modern music" than you know now. I was a Korn fan back when they only had their first album out. Did you ever eagerly await the release of "Life is Peachy?" I doubt it. The fact is, Korn has gone WAAAAAAY downhill (though even their second album wasn't very good). They lost any true angst, and they just can't manufacture that. Bands like the Deftones that don't quite make it "big" usually end up putting good albums out because they're still angry (usually about not getting the airply/money that other, worse bands get).

Well said. The second album also included their first cover, no? I think I'd like them much better today if they'd broken up after that first album. Unfortunately, I think they were instrumental in kicking off the wave of crap rock music we've got today.
The producers also share a huge portion of the blame; they're producing the life and soul right out of most commercial albums released these days.

yeah the self titled was a good album...life is peachy was ok...but everything after that has sucked...why is it bands nowadays make one good album then flop?

like limp bizkit...3 dollar bill was a cool album...everything after it blew...

I love bashing threads such as these. everyone has their stance and no matter what arguments/flames are made, no one is going to change said stance.
just for the record, I typically enjoy listening to Korn, and I didn't really care for the cover although I didn't think it was THAT bad. Every band is going to have fans as well as having as many people who think they are the worst ever. Accept this fact, and move on.

That attitude is not very conducive to conversation though. If we all just accepted each other's stances without discussion, the forums would be much quieter.

You're right, but since i'm the only one with that viewpoint, the forums are safe

Bob Seger Rules!!

I am sick of the new rock. I cant stand it. Thats why I love to listen to Classic Rock. IMO, the best kind of music.

By the way, that Korn cover of Another Brick in the Wall sucked ass.
