Like anything fermented, kimchi is an acquired taste. You either love it or hate it.

The taste in my mouth was decent but the smell for my nose was just too much. Just like durian, I love anything with that flavor such as ice cream, cookies.but the raw durian was too much for me.

Man, trying durian absolutely rekt me.

The worst part was the non-stop burping for the next 24 hours and re-living that sour, acidic durian stench was horrible.

Not just the smell but the texture of the durian. I just could not deal with it.

Folks in Asia sure do eat a lot of "interesting" stuffs. Some of them are not bad such as fried crickets with peanuts in their bellies. Eels and snakes cooked with spicy stuffs are very decent. No go on drinking blood directly from a live snake or cobra for me.

Later when I have time, I will post a few pictures of "interesting" food and drink stuffs in Asia. No, no graphic/nasty stuffs so no worry.

Luckily I didn't get the burps but eating raw Durian was brutal. I couldn't get that taste of death out of my mouth for hours.

I'd like to try Jack Fruit though.
