Korean girls

I was at a boba place in rowland heights. I saw these fairly attract korean girls sitting outside. They were smoking which is not uncommon, but they were doing something I've never seen.

They were all spitting on the ground next to them every 30 seconds or so? Why? Do they believe that will help them lose weight?

SUNFLOWERSEEDS?

WERE THEY DIPPIN?

DID YOU SEE THEM TAKING BITES FROM A SHOE POLISH CONTAINER?

DID THEY PERFORM BUKKAKE RECENTLY?

Spitting is one of the collectively yet almost unconsciously learned behaviors among Koreans; in fact, many Koreans don't even realize that they have a habit of spitting in public. When asked about spitting in public, quite a number of Koreans abhor such a practice, considering the act lacks concern for others.

As for how spitting became so prevalent within Korean society, nobody seems to know.

Some say the majority of habitual spitters are smokers, who claim that spitting can "cleanse" the bitter aftertaste left by smoking, while others say spitting out "stale" saliva can freshen their breath.

korean girls are hot and better than japanese and china girls, too bad they all smoke and have major attitude problems.

Ever been to China? The spitting is even worse there in my experience.

I never spit in the public.
Then again, nor I smoke or drink heavily.
On a side note, I also hold the door behind me and dont forget to say thank you when someone else does it for me.

it is DISGUSTING. when i lived in the dorms, there were always these two guys that would be outside the building in the approved smoking area. they spit EVERYWHERE. all you could see on the ground were little round spit marks. one day it was just all over the place and i didn't want to walk back to my dorm because of how... pervasive it was.

is it true that the Japanese regard themselves as the superior oriental race? do they really look down upon the Chinese and Koreans?

im caucasian, but i did stay at a holiday inn last night (and worked for a japanese company for a few years).

i would have to say that there is definitely some tension between the two (or three) "races". and i have had some conversations where some feelings of superiority were expressed by some japanese people. but it's the same as with any racist thoughts...certain people believe it, while the more educated/rational population knows its nonsense.

People spit.

In China everyone spits, not because they dit, not because they smoke, but because it's just the thing people do.

I'm sure it can't be that different in Korea.
