Korean Dog Day Afternoon

well, that dog isn't youre typical dog dog...they're herded like cows. Arg..i had pics somewhere of that kind of dog...

hehe it's not what you expect, it's not really fido, more like eating lassie

yummy 🙂

Goat and horsemeat taste good, so I don't see anything wrong with eating Fido. It would be an interesting culinary experience. MMMMmmmmm, super combo canine burrito with fresh salsa.

No idea...I dont speak much Korean except Thank you, Hello, and I think I can still count to five.

Kind of goes along with my hindu knowledge..I can say Hello, Thank you, And see you later... 🙂

Its wrong when you see how they raise the dogs (at least some of them, maybe it was only China who raises them in horrendous conditions).

Whatever, to each his own, but I have a problem with eating an animal deemed man's best friend.

true. well sometimes as in each case. chickens and cows on average have been basically engineered into the state they are through selective breeding. we made them into big dumb meat farms. it can be said that we made dogs into something else, whcih makes it slightly different i guess. i remember reading that when farmers started trying to breed for leaner meat when the low fat craze was goin strong, they sorta bred some of the wild characteristics back into the pigs and stuff, which got aggressive. but still, as long as you don't mistreat it before you eat it, no biggie. just less then optimal.

You aren't trying to say that the animals have been bred to the point where they are too dumb to feel pain or anguish? I hope not. I shouldn't even drink milk, but I guess some things are too hard to give up (at least still living at home) but the fact is, animals suffer more and more just so meat can be cheap and produced on a massively large scale, and the majority of the population either doesn't know or doesn't care. I shouldn't have said that, cause I don't want to start anything. Ill shut up...just buy your lady that bikini.

They are just photos people, you arent eating it yourself...

Hell, in Peru they eat Guiena pigs while ehre they are pets, I have had one they are damn good stuffed. It doesnt mean that just because we choose to use something as a pet the rest of the world has to as well.

Most of dog eaters in Korea are older, conservative generation.

If you talk to people in their 40's and under, I gurantee you more than 95% are against eatting dogs.

Seems like this is blown out of proportion due to few minorities. It's like stating all American kids are murderers after the Columbine incident.

I lived there 10 years of my life and I didn't even see any. Just heard "rumors" that some people eat them.

Regardless, I feel bad for dogs, cows, and chickens alike.

eating dogs is like killing high school kids??

get some perspective. killing high school kids is pretty much wrong in most peoples books, eating dogs is a PERSONAL preference, not really an issue of morality.

You miss my point. I am referencing to the generalization that all Koreans eat dogs.

Did I ever say eating dogs is like killing high school kids?

Damn ahjussis

your post is still based on the premise that in your opinion, eating dog is wrong.
