Im a newb but w/e.... applications, system settings, add/remove applications... hehe 🙂

otherwise just use the uninstall rpm command

I have tried rpm -e and yum remove and still Kopete will not uninstall.

"rpm -e kopete"

"yum remove kopete"

I have tried both of those ways and it didn't work. Is there another way?

How did you install kopete v.9?

If you compiled then installed then cd /location/of/kopete_v.9/makefiles/ and execute make uninstall.

I found the problem. There is no rpm named kopete. kopete is included in the rpm named kdenetwork-3.3.xxx.rpm.

To uninstall kopete v.9, execute yum remove kdenetwork.
