Kohl's had the worst 'sale' ever today...

So Kohls opened up a new store by my house about a month ago. I go in today to check out some new shoes after my fiasco from last night.

They had a pair of shoes marked $69.99 (Original Price) on sale for $74.99 (It even had $69.99 on the box itself as the Original Price)

I asked an associate, after 10 minutes of trying to figure out what was going on, they said it was a price hike. It even scanned in the computer at $74.99. When I asked why it had a 'Sale' sign directly on the shoes (they had it on every pair of shoes because every pair was on sale), they tried to explain how 'Sale' just means the price is different than what the original price was. I wish I was kidding 🙁

Kohls sucks.

So did you get the shoes?

No, I usually prefer my sale prices to be discounts, rather than an additional fee over the normal price. 🙂

The 5 bucks covers the poop that comes with them to help break them in.

So you would have bought the exact same shoes for $79.99 if the original price was $89.99?

Just a hiccup with a new store I'm sure.

Kohls overall has been awesome for deals in my experience though.

Yep. I will only buy shoes from them or shoebuy.com. Kohls clearance racks are the awesomest thing ever!

I hate they way they do their 'normal' sales. inflate the prices by forty percent then have a big 50 percent off sale.

I have seen this numerous times....at different retailers...luckily enough...in MA, you get the lower price in that case.

Kohls sucks.

I've made bank shopping Kohls online. If you have a Kohls cc you get free shipping and 15-30% off even clearance items on top of that. You can return items to the store for a full refund up to a year later.

I rarely go into the B&M Kohls store except to return stuff. The prices in the store suck.
