KOGi 14.1" TFT-LCD $149(AR) instore only

Might be good for a server or something, but 14.1" just dosent cut it these days.... Thats about the same as a 15" CRT viewable...

Good price though... 🙂

Is this thing half-decent? It would be okay for a secondary display to have winamp and other small stuff on.

Actually, the specs don't look half bad:

PRODUCT FEATURES

14.1" screen size (14.1" viewable)

1024 x 768 maximum resolution

0.279mm dot pitch

On-screen image controls

58-75Hz vertical frequency

31-65Hz horizontal frequency

Energy Star and MPR II compliant

PC compatible

I am sure it's VGA, though it's not specified. Definitely not a gamers monitor, but for secondary apps, may not be bad.

They're junk. I bought 3 of them for work last summer - one died after a month, a second one died last week. It took 4 months to get the first one replaced under warranty. I just threw the other one in the trash. Don't bother.

:disgust:

I picked up one today. It's going back. The display is washed out and hard to read. If you increase the brightness, the washed out colors gets even worse. You have to look at it directly to get a half way decent picture.

If I didn't know better I would say it looks like a passive matrix display.

I'm very disappointed since the 15" Kogi that Best Buy had around Xmas had an incredible picture.

Ah well.... 🙁

I was thinking about returning my Proview 14"lcd that I bought at CC about a week ago for $249-$50MIR, for the BB 14" Kogi, but I went to go check it out-looked rather flimsy and decided to keep my Proview-it is VERY SIMILAR to the KDC 15", just a different name.
