I checked via search and didn't find anything on this deal at Staples (B&M).

Went there today to see about the Maxtor 40G 5400rpm and found they were clearancing the Kodak Digital 3600 and 3700 models at 50% off!

Son-of-a-B&^%$#! I got in on the deal in July but this one is so much cheaper. If I recall, both were under $150 each, maybe even closer to $130.

Of course, your mileage may vary BUT the signs advertising their prices looked corporate to me.......

Enjoy!

Clearance signs can be printed off with any price they wish - ie wether it be $1.00 or $100.00. AFAIK that's a local deal but I'll check at my store today

UPDATE AND MORE INFO:

According to other people who have taken advantage of my find, its not a local sale, its a normal final clearance price change from Staples corporate.

The Kodak 3600 is approximately $139.50 and the Kodak 3700 is around $124.50.

Also the Olympus D-510 is $124.50, and the prices just changed on the 19th, so some stores might not have put out the new price tags yet.

Enjoy and good luck!

Seems that the offer differs from stores to store. I got many different prices they are even selling the display models.:)

3x optical zoom and 1x digitial zoom
included a 8mb smartmedia

After doing some comparisons I think the Kodak 3600 might have a better image quality than the olympus d-510...which kinda sucks since I bought the olympus.

anyway ended up with

139.99 D-510 that appeast to have at least been an open box...got a 1 year warranty thrown in
9.99 Camera Bag

used the $30 off $150 coupon to make it 127 including tax.

but the olympus does have a panarama feature that I was playing with that appears to be pretty cool.

also why you are out get some batteries for this thing...it eats them up baby...get NiMH 1600 MaH or better.

64 meg card or better wouldn't hurt either. as only 5 high resolution jpegs fit on the stock 8 meg SM card.

I bought the D-510 camera...
I tried to take some pictures, and it wasn't that good, or maybe my expectation is too high?

Can someone tell me what is the setting to take high quality pictures? I am a newbie on using this digital camera, thanks!

Kodak DX3600 - $99.88
Kodak DX3700 - $110.88
Olympus D-510 - $110.88

I got the 3600 Kodak, seemed like a better camera than the 3700. It is not too bad, seems a little cheap build quality but for that money it is not bad, will make a nice christmas present.

Damn, totally forgot about this thread. Like everyone already stated it is a national deal. For those in the DFW area - the only store I know of that has any left is the Frisco store next to Stonebriar

Thanks. I picked up one of the Kodak 3600 for $140 - $20 coupon. Easy to use camera and decent pictures for the money. This was the last new Olympus 520/Kodak 3600 camera at my staples, but they were willing to knock off an additional 10% if you bought one of the display models.
