The $700 kit comes with extra memory card, battery and quick charger...

Buydig.com has the camera only for $471.. If you can get Buy.com to price match that, then that would be a super hot deal!!!

Too bad they charge tax in California.

I just bought this camera. If you buy it from buy.com, I highly recommend getting the PCMCIA CF reader for ~$7 (SKU: 10022437), or maybe the USB CF/SmartMedia reader for ~$24 (SKU: 10248268).

Also, does anyone know of a good deal for a quick charger & batteries for this camera?

Why bother pricematching. Just order it from buy.com and use the rebate. I don't see anything on the rebate that indicates that it is an Amazon only rebate. Looks pretty generic, although it does say no photocopies of the form accepted.

Make sure you don't get the DC4800EZ bundle, which includes the extra battery, etc. It's a different product number. The rebate is not valid on that number! I called Kodak and confirmed that the rebate is only when you purchase the camera alone. It's a shame, too.
With Computers4Sure bundle price of $599, plus ebates (2%), it would have been a sweet deal.
Oh, well.

Best i've seen so far is the pricematch at Buy.com etc for around $380. Anyone got it better yet?

Walmart also has this for $499.00, so you can pricematch from there to Buy.com. Walmart is on their list.

How does this compare to a Nikon Coolpix 950?

I'm going to be buying my first digital camera this weekend so any help is appreciated.

Checking this deal out...a couple observations on the buy.com pricematch:

Neither camerasound.com nor buydig.com seem to specify that any CF car d comes with the camera

Walmart.com says 10mb CF; never heard of such an animal...however, it could potentially kill the pricematch, no?

Can anyone spell out the $355 price? I see the $390 that PicPop showed, but if you pricematch at $499-$15-$100=$385, not $355.

CEO: Thanks for the link.

I already ordered a DC4800 from photoalley yesterday. With a nice camera bag it came out to $528.

after ebates (~$26) and rebate ($100) it'll cost me around a cool $400.

can't wait to get it

How did you get the Kodak camera for $400. Photo alley lists it for $599 and then with the $100 rebate from Kodak it is $499 and then you get the 5% from ebates. How do you get $400?
