Kodak DC290 connect problem

I can't get my camera to show up in the original Kodak software, updated software, File Explorer, or Photoshop. Tried all drivers and software updates, including usb and chipset. Using Win98SE. Connects fine on wife's XP machine, and my old Win98SE laptop. Tried different ports and all other usb devices work fine.
