local Target has Kodak lab inside and prints digitals for $0.23. Does any one know how/if places like Wal-Mart photo lab or Target (Kodak) handle larger 9-12MB files? I am considering getting the Canon Digital Rebel (300D = foreign model) and I know the file sizes are huge. Also, if you snap a "RAW" image, do you convert to jpg before taking it to be developed?

i just got my canon eos rebel camera not too long ago... i haven't develop any film from that camera though, but i haven't took any raw image files... they just take too LONG to upload to the kodak website... i think it goes up to 16mb for a raw file... i don't have that kind of bandwidth to upload that many pictures in raw file... heh... anywayz, i need to go to costco and check out their labs over there sometime... well let me know if anyone knows if they can print raw files, my guess is that you probably have to convert it to jpg.

i don't think you can bring raw. they'd have to convert it.

you can convert it to tiffs. i know some costco's take tiffs, but some don't.

I couldn't get through Walmart's site...can you upload pics online and have them sent to the local Walmart?

Yes. You can upload files (each up to 3MB) and pick them up at your local store. Nice way to save the shipping costs + they send you an email once the pics arrive at the store.
