Two things of note:

-As much as people cry about him being a ball hog, he's won every one of those games.

-Wilt Chamberlain has 32 60 points games!! hahahah

that 62 was in 3 quarters too.

32 sixty point games is insane. I didn't realize that Kobe had a 81 point game in 2006.

Kobe only played 37 mins! Towards the end Lebron forced a lot of shots which he promptly bricked.

A triple double is still badass but as far 1v1 comparison - Kobe all the way!

Wilt didn't play against anywhere near the competition that Kobe did, so while I hate Kobe's effing guts, I think his accomplishments, especially 81 points, are more impressive.

I don't know, 50.4 points and 48.5 minutes a game is freakishly mindboggling. Kobe's good (hate him) but he's no Wilt yet.

Riiiiiiight ;)

Well his 52pt triple double did help that argument.

Yep. Lebron is a better all around player, IMO, but Kobe is the better scorer.

Err...you might want to take a look at who is consistently on the All-defensive First Team, dating back years.

Kobe is not a better scorer, he's a ball hog. Kobe might hit 61 points or whatever but he won't hit triple doubles because he doesn't like to pass. I would gather if you took all the top scorers and had them play like Kobe did a few would put up numbers like him.

But Kobe's all about Kobe, Magic wouldn't have ever scored 61, but he would have made 30 assists and helped his team win while helping 3 of his team mates hit 20+ points each. That's much more impressive than this ball hog'ish feat by Kobe.

Kobe is a ball hog, a cry baby when they go on a losing streak. And a snitch for putting Shaqs business out there when the heat was on him. FUCK KOBE.

Well this season Lebron has more points, boards, assists, steals, blocks per game (albeit playing a little over a min more per game) and a better FG%...

Why do I care what players did in the past when deciding their game today?

Unlike you I don't have a horse in this argument... I love watching both of these guys play, they are the premier talents of the NBA.

lakers have won every game when he's had to put up 60+. his fg% is phenomenal in those games. in that 81 pt game, the lakers were down by double digits at the half. you don't know what you're talking about.
