omg what an insult to dominique wilkins, easily one of the 50 greatest players ever!

espn didn't agree with you. :)

i do thing that 'Nique was a very good baller tho.

MJ actually enhances his team, while Kobe is just a stats whore who would easily sacrifice his team to make himself look better. Don't we all remember what the laker's record was before Shaq came back?

and let me just say something, jordan didnt become jordan until he started winning champtionchips - like 8 years into his career. before that he was only marginally better than dominque wilkins
That's blatantly false. Jordan was a Superstar and an American (at least an NBA) Icon before the Bulls won any Championships. Jordan also competed when there were a plethora of Players that would compare to Kobe if they were ball hogs like Kobe.

yeah jordan did compete with a plethora of guys like bird, magic, isaiah, etc - and got spanked every year! jordans first champtionchip was against the killer combo of Magic to Vlade in 1991. jordan didnt win shlt until the league turned to shlt.

now im not making any claims that kobe (3 rings) is as good as MJ (6 rings) ever was but only for the same reasons that I wouldnt argue that t-mac (0 rings) is as good as bryant, even though he may vary well be. and yes, i would most certainly aruge that kobe at 24 is a much better player than jordan at 24. and red, if your old enough to remember jerry west then your old enough to remember that jordan @ 24 = immature ball hog (think vince carter averaging 30attemps/game). and for the record kobe was averaging over 7 assists through the first 40+ games (and is currently averaging 6.2). some ball hog

be interesting to see some season stats when the season is over.

PPG
RPG
APG
Steals
and so on ..

overall, when you go the hall of fame, they look at stats and not at the highlight reel.
