Is anyone else out there fed up with this whole "feud"?

I mean I might care more if either one was on my fantasy team, but even if they were, I'm tired of hearing it night after night on sportscenter, nba fastbreak, pti, etc. etc. I just hope after this game they'll just shut up about kobe and shaq.

I only heard about it first yesterday, an article in my local paper. I'll watch the damn game because it's the very first NBA game I've been able to see this year. I get OTA TV in the S.F. Bay Area, and this is the first game broadcast. Feud? Stupid, period. These guys are making millions of bucks per year because people are buying that hype, talking about the players here. The media jerks who are hyping it are also making big bucks, just not THAT big. The hype is B.S. pure and simple. If you are going to watch the game, try to see through the hype. Good luck!

Yeah, what's up with the disappearence of nba games on regular broadcast tv? You basically need digital cable and a sports package to see any ball games at all now.

I agreed 100%, maybe not that confident in the scores, but the outcome will be the same

Well, I don't know the answer. It's been going on for a year or two but never been worse. The article in the sports section of the S.F. Chronicle yesterday said today's broadcast is the first of how many... they didn't say, for ABC. So, there will be more. How many more, I can't guess. Maybe nothing until the playoffs. Even the playoffs may only be OTA when they get past the first (or even second!) round. Can't remember.

I was a lakers fan last year, but since they have been catering to the rapist, I've had thoughts about changing my favorite team.

I miss shaq.

Heat win... Kobe has better stats.

I find it odd that Shaq goes back to LA to be Shaq-A-Claus, yet Kobe can't find time out of his busy schedule of insulting former teammates and screwing around on his wife to give back to the community...

I'm sorry LA fans but was retaining Shaq and the coach and trading Kobe for McGrady or even better Ray Allen really that bad? Was it worth losing a few more Championship years to keep Kobe and have a mediocre- at-best team?

Kobe might be annoying and wierd but he's the closest thing to Jordan nowadays.

Kobe will have better stats but the Lakers will loose.

my bf always wondered how it would be if they did kobe for tmac straight up...

we can't stand the lakers but he loves tmac, at least he would have been able to see him more.

how can anyone like Kobe over Shaq. Even without the whole rape accusation thing, Kobe was never more media friendly than Shaq was. Shaq ALWAYS grants interviews and always says something funny or controversial in them, but it's always meant in humor. It's not a stretch to say Shaq is a media darling. Kobe on the other hand is a spoiled selfish ball hog with an attitude.

Well, it was a great game. Lakers played well, could've played better on defense. I'm disappointed that the Lakers lost but we've been treated to a great game.

He was convicted of rape?

That was great.

First play of the game Kobe gets stuffed. Next play he pussies out and goes for a fade away. Then he misses the game winner. That's some funny stuff.
