According to the LA news channels, the girl involved in the Kobe Bryant rape case went to his room with the intention of having sex with him. Apparently when he tried to take the party a little further 'south' she tried to decline, but he pressed the issue. If true, this doesn't bode well for him. I can only imagine the pictures that were taken at the hospital.

All weekend long the LA news channels have been quoting unnamed sources who work at the hospital where the victim was treated. Kobe apparently did some damage because according to these sources, after the rape kit evidence was collected, 13 sutures were administered to the victim. The speculation is that the Kobe did indeed go 'south' to avoid impregnating the girl.

The LA sports talk radio is siting reports of a bruising hand print around the back of the victims neck. According to rape experts this is a telltale sign of a forced situation. MSNBC is carrying this story, although it doesn't specify which part of the neck.

This weekend the LA talk shows have been reporting that at the preliminary hearing on 10/09/03 the DA will present photographs that show "obvious" signs" of nonconsensual sexual contact. It should be interesting to hear what damage he inflicted and if the rumors, unnamed sources, unnamed people intimately involved, and speculation are true about the party going "south".
