knowledge of OC'ing a Geforce 2 Ti?

Hey, I'm performing and OC on a friend of mine's Geforce 2 ti, and i wanted to know what you guys think i'll be able to get it up to... stock, its at 250 clock speed and 400 mem speed... (seems a bit high to me, but that was stock) anywho, it'll have a blue orb installed on it as well... what kind of a gain am i looking at?

well I wouldnt push the core any higher than what it's at seeing as on the geforce 2's the major bottleneck is the memory bandwidth, so what I'd try if I was you is raise the memory speed up by 5mhz... run a game and look for little white dots or tearing in the game textures.... increase the clockspeed up till you see the white dots or tearing... then once you see white dots or tearing back her down to the last safe speed you had and that's really all there is to it, if you really feel like pushing the core you'll only see a 2-5fps increase wich isn't all that substantial... the higher you can get the memory the faster you will go... hope that helps

I'd be interested to know more about o'cing the GeForce 2 TI myself. I played with mine a little...had it bumped up 10% on both memory and clockspeed. Ultimately, the system crashed, and I went back to the default settings. 😱

I have my Gainward GF2 Ti450 at 285/480 right now; once I get the case back on the computer (getting painted now), then I'll have a 120mm fan blowing right on it, so I can push the memory higher then.
