I live in utah and our house has a swamp cooler. the humidity outside is usually about 15%. Every day I wake up in a pool of sweat because the air in my house is so humid, even though the air temp indoors is only about 70. The thing only has 2 speeds, and I leave it running constantly on low because there is no thermostat. Anyways, are there any adjustments I can make or otherwise that will keep my house cool and not so humid?

Not that i can think of, try getting a fan to blow directly on you while you sleep. It might help some.

You mena like a fan that you poor water into? I find them really uncomfortable. Gets too damn humid.

I'd spend 4-500 bucks and get a portable ac unit.

If I remember right swamp coolers don't work worth a crap in humid places. It's hot down here in texas but almost no humidity so they work ok.

Ambient humidity has to be low for an evaporative cooler to function well. They raise the humidity in the home.

I work on them and if it is humid outside it will be humid inside. You need to turn the unit off and air the house out. A central A/C is much better than a swamp cooler. They work great when the outside humidity is down.

the climate is very dry here. I run 5 miles in 95 degree heat and my shirt stays dry the whole time. Its just inside my house gets excessively humid.

that might be what it is. There are only 2 open with maybe 5 sq feet open total.
