Knoppix problem

I donwlaoded a copy of Knoppix to use for troubleshooting but all it does is say start up screen inisilizing and the screen just goes black. You guys have any solution?

If you can, try booting the disk on another machine to rule out a bad burn or corrupt download. Also, which version of Knoppix and what graphics card?

KNOPPIX is probably feeding your display a resolution-refresh-rate combo that's too much for your videocard/display. I think you can use something like "knoppix screen=1280x1024" or "knoppix26 vsync=60" or combinations thereof.

We had similar problems on a rackmount PC - the soultion as just to boot the 2.6 kernel. I think you need to type knoppix26, but if you can at least see the intital screen it should show you there.
