What do people resort to with out guns? Knives. If you want to go on a mass murder spree, you will find yourself a weapon whether it be a gun/knife/melee weapon and go to town and handle your conscience.

Now how do you ban all guns?

Passing a law is not enough. It must be enforced with action, and I think you?ll find only a police state has the eyes and ears necessary to enforce such a ban.

They don't need knives. Didn't you see the story where the UK teens kicked someone to death because they were a dressed like a Goth? (Actually, they may have killed the guy and his girlfriend both, it has been some time since I first read the story.)

Do you think people should be allowed to drive without a license? Do you think anyone should be allowed to build a nuke?

I am against extreme levels of gun control, but I think any rational thinker has to admit that guns are "inherently dangerous items" and the government has a compelling interest in regulating such items.

Excellent point. Millions of people drive without a license every day. There's absolutely no way to stop them. And the roads aren't going to pot over it!

Anyone with the time, money and technology should be able to build a nuke, sure. Except Iran.
