This can't be stressed enough. Riley would see if he could make a difference before blowing it all up.

Good news is the Heat managed to claw back to within 12 at the half. Would've been an awesome game if they weren't so incredibly awful that 1st quarter. Keep hope alive!

Well, personally I'm hoping they lose 😛

Wow the Heat just got TRASHED by the Spurs.

Yep, that's what happens when good teams play great teams. Further enforcement that the Heat just can't hang with the elite teams in this league (Dallas, SAS, LAL (when they want to play), Boston, and Chicago).

I'm quite fine, I just had to work so the reply was late. I understand that there isn't anything wrong with the Heat being a 60-22 team this season, especially after starting out 9-8.

Of those 8 games (1-7), 6 have been on the road. Road wins against top teams are hard to come by, which is why home court advantage is a huge deal in the NBA. 4 of the next 5 games against the teams you mentioned for the Heat will be at home, and how they perform in those games will be helpful in telling us how they stand.

The Heat have less home games overall than any of the teams you mentioned.

The Heat lead the NBA in defensive FG%, defensive 3pt FG%, and are third in defensive efficiency, all while being the best defensive rebounding team. More than anything, those stats are what the Heat will rely on come playoff time. Given their injuries (Miller, Haslem) and the time it has taken a revamped roster to gel the Heat are doing pretty well to hold the second seed in the toughest conference.

LeBron and Wade building castles with their last second shots!

That foul against Deng after missing the Free Throw at the end was BS but, even then, the Heat had TWO chances to win it and still didn't. Noah did a great job defending James and Wade missing the fade away was...

Good game regardless though.

It was a soft call, but no softer than some of the fouls the Heat were drawing.

Overall a good game though, definitely an exciting finish.

Miami has no heart or desire. They deserve to lose. They are outhustled to almost every ball and just act like they deserve the win because they are freaking dwade and lebron.

And the reaction from Coach Thib was awesome. That guy loves his players. Great pickup by Chicago getting him.

the heat have a long way to go. they'll win some games with talent, but as we see they do poorly against good teams, and a 7 game series won't help them at all. They need better coaching, someone that can install a system that will work, because their style right now won't win anything. a TEAM is important, so is a point guard or big man

Lakers crushing the spurs.....what was that quebert?

Don't mention all the times they got crushed though... Wow they're going to win ONCE against the Spurs! This will put them what? 3-9 against elite teams. if you think 3-9's good you're stupid, and if you think the Lakers lost 9 times to elite teams because they're bored, you're even more stupid.

Congratulation your team might finally actually beat an elite team.

You seriously think that the Lakers have been playing as hard as they could so far this year?

I HATE the Lakers and I don't think they are better than the Mavs or Spurs, but I think they are every bit as good as the Mavs or Spurs. To think that they have the work ethic of the Popovich Spurs is delusional.

No, I think they've been losing to elite teams 2 out of 3 times because they're the best team. And the Spurs are what 8-3 against elite teams because they're not as good. The fact the lack work ethic means they're not as good. A good team wouldn't slack off.

Spurs are playing way better overall that's no doubt but the lakers are the better team .

The Lakers are a good team that slacks off. That happens when you have 16 championships under your belt, including 5 of the last 11 years and the last two years. The Lakers know they can win a championship and can turn it on the in the playoffs, why risk getting gassed in the regular season?

why because of what they did last season? This season the Spurs are doing everything better, I don't see how anyone can say the Lakers are better.

Yes, I absolutely consider the fact that pretty much the exact same team won the last two NBA championships when I consider how good a team is.

Also, did you watch that game? The Lakers looked like giants compared to the Spurs. Timmy is old and Dejuan Blair/Antonio McDyss are no match for Odom, Gasol, and Bynum in the paint.

The "Heatles" are looking terrible lately. Meanwhile the Lakers are just getting it figured out at the right time. I don't like the Lakers but I will have to laugh if Kobe walks away with another ring this year, leaving LeBron empty handed.

LeBron could have won in Cleveland if their GM had found a way to be gifted Gasol like the Lakers were.
