Pistons on the other hand, shot themselves in the foot again tonight, loosing to the Cavs 🙁 The Cavs have been pretty hot lately, but the Pistons should have won this one.

call me crazy, but i think the knicks match up well against most of the top teams in the east. i REALLY think they match up well against NJ Nets.

As a Knick fan I'd say Kenyon Martin is a better player than Kurt Thomas. Though I do like Thomas' game more than most.

agreed, and the Nets play a better D right now, mostly because the knicks don't have much PT together yet.

next year, with another move or so, the Knicks could be serious contenders.

I'll admit it, i doubted Ike could do it, but he exceeded most peoples expectations it seems to me.

marbury is quicker and has better offense (shooting) than kidd.
kidd is a better passer and has better court vision.

houston and kittles, no contest. houston wins.

van horn is a better shooter. jefferson is more athletic. neither are great at creating their own shot.

same thing with thomas and martin. thomas has a more consistent shot, better rebounding.
martin is more athletic, dunks and offensive boards. martin thinks he can create his own shot, thomas doesn' t even try becuz he knows better.

mutumbo is better than collins. rebounds, shot blocking/changing. both suck offensively.

the bench of knicks is much better.
shandon and hardaway could easily be starters on other lesser teams.
lucious is a pure shooter.

YUP, the only place the NETS have a clear advantage is in practice time together.

give Lenny Wilkens the rest of this season and the off season and next year, the knicks will contend for the Eastern Conference championship.

yes, a teams success has a lot to do with practice together, aka TEAM CHEMISTRY.
kidd is the glue that holds the nets together.
can marbury do the same for the knicks? so far it looks so.

to contend, the knicks need more athletic and quick players that can run with marbury on the break and leap for alleys, like stoudamire in phoenix.
the knicks have NO athletic players, except marbury and maybe shandon anderson.
 
Looks like Coach Wilkens is gettin it done!

Pacers and Pistons are my favorite teams in the east. Still, glad to see the Knicks start to turn things around.

houston has to relearn his role. he was scoring 24 to 26 ppg last season.

he will probably get close to that now with marbury, but now he has to set up and wait for the action to come to him more.

again. all those things are what makes me think that this team can be really good.
