kneeboarding does boat need a tower to pull?

Just got a speed boat and plan to pull my kids 7, 10.

We plan on getting a tube of course but was wondering about the kneeboard.

My boat does not have a wakeboard tower (extra-2-3 thousand dollars) but it does have a ski tow point.

can I use the regular ski tow point on a kneeboard?
can you use a regular ski tow point for wakeboard

Is the wakeboard tower required or preferred for these type of activities.

We will only be using the boat on a lake.

the tower just allows for a higher pivot point, which thusly allows for higher air time on skis ad wakeboards... thats about the biggest benefit.

short answer no you dont need a tower but it makes it easier to get up and it enables longer air time.

At this point I dont think I will be worrying about hang time 🙂

That's the answer you want too. With the little kids, more hang time = they hit the water harder if they come down wrong.

yes the wakeboard tow point would be better but I kneeboard from a ski tow all the time.
