Anyone else enjoying this game? I rented it over the weekend. Very good game. Camera sometime gets to me but story line seems pretty good so far. Recommend giving this game a try if you like platform games.

yeah most of us who have played it (discussed in the ps4 thread) have all enjoyed it. i can see where the reviewers are coming from with some of their criticisms of the game, but overall i don't think it deserved such the low final scores it got. it's nothing that is ground breaking or anything, but it's a solid enjoyable platformer. as a launch title i'd give it like a B-/C+, but if this game came out a year or two into the ps4 life cycle, it probably would have been forgotten by many people.

I didn't read all of PS4 thread, even though it came up on the search thread.

I will search there for other opinions. But I'm sure I'm going to pick it up.

going to pick it up? thought you said you already have it from a rental?

Rental due back tonight...about half through the game. So would like to finish it. I read there are about 13 chapters, that right? I'm about half through chapter 6. So far the lack of camera control is only thing that bugs me.

I tried, I really did. I was interested in playing this, as I typically find value in games that reviews do not, but I just couldn't finish it. I played through chapter 6, and it just felt like a slog at that point - no deviation, the story/plot kind of plodded along at the same pace, and I found the protaganist characters increasingly irritating. I don't think it's a bad game, but after getting used to attack patterns and cruising through enemies it felt repetitive. Then there were frustrating times when you get one-shotted due to a lull in Knack's move recovery. Thankfully, I bought it used, so I was able to return it. I could see this being amongst the first retail PS+ offerings.

IIRC there are 13 chapters. I enjoyed the game quite a bit, I'm about half way through my NG+. Been unlocking all the gadgets and collecting the pieces for the other types of Knacks. If you have people on your friends list that play it, if you find a secret treasure you can select to either get what you found, or choose to take what your friends received instead, it was a nice touch and I liked that, I hope more games implement that sort of feature into future games.

yeah i did, and yeah it's 13 chapters long. the camera didn't really bother me, i think they did a good job of controlling it for the most part, but i do agree it does have issues at some parts. tbh if i were you i wouldn't buy it, there is like no replay value in the game. i doubt i'll ever play it again. you should just rent it again.

I did not notice any issues with the camera, but aside from a few annoying parts (the end boss for example) I really enjoyed the game. As I said in the other thread I will probably pick it up again at some point, maybe soon too since I kind of burned myself out on FIFA.

I just got this game for $7.20. Traded in Dead Rising 3 which I was finished with, got $40 plus 10% bonus from power up card at gamestop. Bought used copy of Knack. If I can finish it before the 22nd I can trade it back in and get $40 for it so in a way I actually make money.

I think Knack is probably a rental only title. Too bad there's no video stores left to rent games. 😛

Most people seem to agree that the criticism against it was too harsh.
