OMG:Q I'm drooling:) Two subs would really really shake the room hehe, and no carping about midrange or whatever:p I bought the $25(a pair) speaker mounts from klipsch, dunno how much those floor ones cost.

" Whats the difference between 16/18/24 gauge? "

Higher number = smaller diameter cable = more signal drop/line noise.

"Pffttt.... the v2-400's are old news, as are the new 4.1's.

Check out the new 4.2's! "

That's lame. If your sub is properly placed there is no need for a second one.

yup, funny how the cheap stuff is called lamp cord or whatever:) Another funny thing is all my cambridge computer speakers came with 16 gauge wire..stupid klipsch had to cheap out and use that damned head plug instead of normal bare wires grr.

Exactly what Thorin said. If you need a second sub, something's wrong with your first one...absolutely NO need for it.

4.1s look great, but I can't see goin 400 for the extra sub(4.2s). I could see maybe if it was a 5.1

chinese, there's a better chance that your soundcard or connections are at fault, rather than the speakers.

Well since everyone seems to be sold out of the v.2 400s, anyone know when the 4.1s will be out (or when I'll be able to buy them from outpost.com)?

Ok just finished rewiring mine with 16gauge wire:) I think it sounds louder.. hard to tell if its just in ur head without something to test against:p Anyhow, those instructions for solderless plugs kinda suck for wall mounted speakers:( Not enough space for the long ass plugs. I had to leave off the metal cover/strain relief:p Covered exposed areas with electrical tape.

Outpost does not carry the Klipsch v.2 -400 anymore. I ordered a set the other night when their web site said "in stock, ships overnight". About an hour after placing the order I noticed my order said cancelled. I called and asked what was up and they said the speakers had been discontinued and they no longer carry them.

Worked out for the best because I found a set of Klipsch 4.1's in stock the next day. :)
