They look nice, but I prefer 2.1 setups.

why the 2.1?

Most media (CDs ) is currently in 2.0 (2.1 just splits the speaks and a sub...same thing)

using 4.1, 5.1, 6-1 or 7.1t meses with the sound...

2.1 to keep it pure....or at least as pure as the media allows😛

well, for being a 23 year old grad student, i have what i consider a pretty good setup. i have a denon avr-3803, and a 5.1 paradigm setup along with 2 other paradigms to make a 7.1 that all told i spent more than $3000 for. I would consider that substantially better than any computer speaker setup. then again, i wouldn't watch a movie on my computer anyway. i have a standalone dvd player for that. but, if the moment comes that i actually would want to use the sound on my computer, i want it to sound as good as possible. good, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but i have never heard a set of computer speakers (especially the klipsch's- way way too bright) that would suit my needs.

My HT system approaches $7K w/o my Sony 57" widescreen rptv and resides in a relatively large room, whereas my pc sits in a small spare bedroom. I even used to have a $15K stereo only audio system. In a small space, my Klipsch Promedia 4.1's sound just fine, not the best, but good enough for $300 or so. I could move my HT system into a small bedroom, but what's the point. Even my iPod cost more than the Klipsch 4.1's, but it's a little easier to use on a plane.

Hey! Let's not start with the Accord again 😉

Anyhoo, my computer desk and workarea are so cluttered already that the thought of adding stereo components is just inconceivable. I'd rather buy a sweet computer speaker w/ amp setup like this. IMHO it's quite drool-worthy.
