KLIPSCH ProMedia 2.1 PC Multimedia Speakers $49.99

I used to have the 2.1 promedia. After a year, one of the channels died. After another 5 months I lost the other channel. Only thing that worked was the bass. When I contacted klispch they said it would cost around 50 dollars to repair them, and I had to pay for my own shipping. I got frustrated and used some cheap speakers to replace them. An ex-engineer friend of mine thought he could fix them, so I sold them to him for 20 bucks. He was able to get both channels to work after replacing a fuse inside the sub box. Even though this is a good deal, from my experience with klipsch, I'd rather buy a 2.1 set from either cyber acoustics or logitech. Also it seems that this is a common problem among promedia owners. When they work, they sound great but they die sooner then you'd like. Just my 2 cents.

I also got mine today (thanks OP). Shipping was $13 and I got it in two days. The box was in good shape and the speakers work great. I was satisfied with my Yamaha YSTMS50's (from the valueamerica days), but these are definitely superior. I still think this is something of a crapshoot, mainly because of the return policy. It was going to be $63 down the drain, because there was no way I'd pay to send this back for "store credit". I'll give these guys credit, though. Product was shipped and delivered in exactly the condition they described it.

I'm glad it worked out for you Je Spre. I hope the good news continues for the rest that took a chance.
Buy the way it's not often I see floks that have been here longer than myself with an even lower post count.🙂 Lets see, 333 post in 5 years.

I've bought from this outfit before and was very disappointed.

They are true liquidators and you are really rolling the dice buying from them. I bought a "open box" 60Gig IBM Deathstar from them a couple years ago and it was actually a 40gig unit labled 60Gigs from the factory. IBM made good on the RMA warranty but it was a major hassle and took several weeks. I vowed to never buy from them again.

I can't even imagine the hassle of having to RMA speakers. They do have all the proper disclaimers though so if you ignore those it's your own darn fault, lol.

Well, I got these and they worked for about a minute. Then the left channel stopped outputing a signal. Sounded great for the first two minutes.

Shipped in the same box (not happy about that) and clearly was repackaged. I thought why not take a chance but I'm out $35 in shipping. Oh well.

Just ordered a set. Sold the Dell 5.1 speaker system from woot.com on ebay. Klipsch has always been the sh*t in my opinion.

I just got 'em today and was very worried that somehow they would scam me. Came in retail box and were definitely returns or floor demos, but hell, they sound super sweet. I have the sub on the lowest and it's still too much at times. $49.99 + $18 shipping to Texas makes 'em $68 for me. I'm one happy camper! My friend bought his 3 years ago for $180. Even he's thinking about ordering a second pair.

HE SHOOTS HE...misses
Just got my Klipschs
THERES A POPSCICLE STICK IMPALING ONE OF MY SPEAKERS!! and I know it has no business being there.
I know their policy says I pay for shipping back to them...I Hope they dont expect to pay for it to be sent back to me. On that note is this such an extraordinary circumstance that I should "demand" for them to pay the shipping?? I mean comeon a stick in my speaker??!!!

Good luck with that one. For the cost of sending something that heavy back you're probably better off buying a new speaker.

Ouch
Was it the main (with volume and subwoofer knobs) or the left satellite?
You're right, it had no business even being in the box. Strange.

Nice link of replacement parts there pepiborn

By the way, only 5 (of the 91 sets they had) left.

Well going by the comments here it seems like the last batches are the crappy ones.

Hey I might be in luck its the left non buttons speaker... for $30 more might as well just order a new one...Im going to argue with these guys first see if I get a free shipment...dont really think it'll happen though.

Just received mine, both satellite speakers are blown. Now i gotta figure out what my next steps are. so much for this hot deal being good. guess i will see how good their return policy is :-(

Yikes! Mine arrive tomorrow... here's hoping. That popsicle stick story was just insane. How did that ever end up back in a box?!?!?! This deal is looking like a bad idea.
