considering price, I'd go with the Promedia's, however the iFi's are going to be better (and you have to pay for it, especially considering they're banking on iPod sheep too gobble it up)

Picked up my Promedias tonight. WELL worth $100.

These are the best 2.1 speakers for the PC, short of the iFi.
For this price though, best thing going hands down.

Blow away all logitech sets due to none of them having separate mid/tweeters.
My Z560s (4.1 logitech) were all the rage but I got rid of them. WAY to much bass and the separate mid/tweeters are invaluable.. even more valuable than a large, bloated, inaccurate sub.

you can even hook these up together with an existing 2.1 set and make a 4.2 configuration to really drive your neighbors nuts

When you mean "existing" are you talking about the Klipsch or any 2.1 brand manufacturer?

I think he means any, since all a 2.1 set requires to independently operate is a a stereo minijack.

Just got these. They are the BEST! For $90.00 after the 10% coupon, how much hotter can this deal be?

The Ifi's should be quite a bit better.

The satelites on the Ifi's are pretty much rsx-3's. I recently upgraded my promedia 5.1 ultra satelites to rsx-4s, and I can't believe how much better they sound.

I bought one in-store for $83.69 + tax after 10% coupon. They still had 4 left at the Ocala, FL store.

The speakers sound good and can get really loud if you want them to. Seems like a waste to hook these up to onboard sound though, so now I gotta buy a better sound card.

One thing I do find annoying is that the power switch is located behind the subwoofer. How hard could it have been to put a damn power switch on the satellite? Anybody have a solution to this, other than hooking it up to its own power strip and using that as a switch?

Don't trust the Best Buy site to tell if your local store has these in stock. It siad my store had none but I went and checked anyway and they did have a set.

Got these the other day and they rock. Thanks OP! The only thing is that they really magnify the distortion on weak mp3's but as long as the source is good, these kick butt!

im still rockin my $30 800W PMPO!!!! 2.1 setup i got from a flea market from like 10 years ago... a little use of my electronics background and it sounded pretty good with the right crossover....

This is something i might indeed get as 5.1 is not an option in my computer room...

Might wait to see if any other good 2.1 deals come through this weekend first though

I've been wondering about that. I own both the Logitech z2300 and the Logitech z5500. A strong point of both sets of these speakers is that they don't distort easily at high volumes. It can be detected under certain circumstanses, and I think it happens mostly when listening to an mp3 that needs far more data than even a 350 bit rate will provide (even alt preset extreme doesn't cut it for some songs for all you LAME users that know what I'm talking about).

Anyway, the reason I brought up the Logitech sets is because they pretty much compete directly with Klipsch for top spot in PC speakers, and I sometimes want to buy a Klipsch set to see what I might be missing out on.
