Klipsch Promedia 2.1....$88 + shipping

$22 for shipping is a bit rich though. Total to me is $110. I'll wait for another open box deal.
I have 2 sets right now and I love these speakers, the best "bang for the buck" I've ever had.

Page has always been great for me. Most of the time items like these are sent from whatever available warehouse is the closest to your shipping area. As long as these are factory sealed, I see no problem at all, especially with Klipsch, they have pretty good support forum with a real person who takes care of issues....

I second that emotion. About 6 months ago, I bought a sealed pair at CC for 93.00 OTD. Easily one of the best hundred I've spent in awhile. :thumbsup:
 
I'll add my accolades. Over the holidays I bought a set at BB for $119 to use at the office. No regrets.

 
I bought these from BB about 6 months ago for $99 + tax, and these are the best speakers I have bought for my PC.
 
I've had 2 sets of Klipsch Pro Media's (both 4.1). They sound great until the volume knob starts getting 'scratchy'. My brothers 4.1's and friends 2.1's have the exact same problem.

Worse for me, the amp fried on both of my sets (shortly after the 1 year warranty). That was the last of Klipsch for me. Not trying to thread crap but Klipsch computer speakers have a very spotty track record as far as quality goes.

it saddens me that they still have that problem.. I had the original 4.1's for computers and the pots went static-y, and klipsh took $25 from me. to replace em.

My friend has teh 2.1's, and they seem to be fine for now. I've been tempted to get them... even for a small apartment livingroom setup... I can do w/o 5.1 🙂 But what you mentioned has held me back

it's [too much of] a pain in the ass, but you can have any electronic repair shop easily (ironic?) clean the pots. google can probably show you also. it comes from mineral deposits (calcium?) that form inside the knob -- from all the gunk electrostatic pulls in. i had a luthier work on my guitar and i think the dude sprayed wd-40 on the pots, wiped, and blew on them and said "voila, like new... $$$ bucks please." happens to all knobs eventually.. no?

Am just using the front and rear connectors on an Audigy 2ZS. The two subs make for some bone shaking bass 😛

I love mine. Running fine for a few years now. I had to clean my volume potentiometer awhile back, but all I had to do was pull the knob off the shaft, squirt some contact cleaner down the shaft for a couple seconds while I turned it back and forth. Works like new again.
 
These are great speakers. Two sets in a 4.2 setup will make a great gaming/mp3/movie setup for your computer. I had a chance to get these a couple of years ago and opted for the Logitech z560s instead because I got a great deal. I don't regret it, but if I needed a new set, I wouldn't hesitate.
