Klipsch Pro Media 5.1 Speaker Question

I'm trying to figure this out, but I haven't had much luck online. Are the 5.1 speakers like the 2.1's in that they have a mini plug in the back instead of the L/R speaker cable? If so, is there any easy way to connect these with better speaker wire? I've tried to find a picture of the rear of them, but haven't been able to.
Thanks

I have the original Promedia from years ago, and the sub took in 3 1/8" stereo jacks, and connected to the speakers via regular speaker wire (which I did upgrade). My sub died cause of the garbage amp, but I kept the satellite speakers for use with my home stereo.

You mean the speakers connected with the miniplug and the sub connected to the speakers with regular wire right? How did you upgrade the wire?
