These speakers have an MSRP of $400 though they can be found for a lot less. This is the cheapest I've seen them. They are regularly $199.99 at Costco but this week, 6/12-6/18, there is a $50 off coupon for this item. Coupons were readily available at the Costcos I visited this week.

What? I did say that "if someone has his eyes set on it, this would be a good deal". Tell you what, I'll let you throw the first stone at me when you buy these speakers.

Why, what do you think is not puny? Let me guess, 20" subs in the trunk of your civic dx with a fartpipe that cause the entire car to rattle like a tin can? Or could it be that "awesome, room-filling" Bose Crapcoustimass?

I picked these up a few days ago. I hooked them up in the living room with the TV so I can have some bass when watching DVD movies.

They sound really good while listening to music but if you are using them to watch DVDs somethings weird about it. The left and right speakers crackle when it gets to an action scene where there's a lot of explosions. I dunno if its a faulty set of speakers or what.

First off, I bought 2 sets of these during Christmas time from Costco at $199. I am VERY pleased with the sound quality considering I paid $199 for them; I'm not to sure what the other dude is talking about as far as them being puny, etc. I will also report that they DO WORK with iPod Video's...the packaging may not say they support them since the speakers were made before the iPod Video was even introduced. I've been using my Klipsch with my 60GB Video with no problems at all!:) If your looking for iPod speakers and this is a acceptable price point then do yourself a favor....pick these up!

they are not puny. they are quite large compared to the other ipod speaker systems. and they are the best sounding of the batch of ipod speakers avaliable. they are certainly worth 150, klipsch puts out good stuff.

Yes, klipsch are better than most of computer speakers, but these are still "computer type speakers". At 150-200 I'd rather wait for another polk R50 sale at fry's and get a cheap amp, maybe even t-amp. Polk R50 are entry stuff, but they will still much better than klipsch set. Of course if you want the convenience of a charging station/remote, this might be a good purchase, if you have sound quality in mind it is not.

Thanks OP. I got on this deal. :)

The speakers are pretty good. I feel like the mids are a bit too heavy. (I prefer a more natural, harsher sound)
For computer speakers, these are probably the best I've heard.
Of course they are nothing compared to a HT set up, which cost much much more.

A pair of R50 is already $100 a pair without shipping.
A decent cheap amp will add at least another $150.
And you'll probably need a sub to add a good punch to the music. A cheap one at partexpress.com is probably about $100 (again excluding shipping)

Sure you can get a T-Amp, but those are very lacking in power, and there's no sub connector.

Over all, this Klipsch is a very good complete system. Probably the best you can find for $150 ($160 with tax here in PA).

Anyways, this is just my oppinion.
