Klipsch ifi at costco $199 (ipod speakers)

I was in my local Costco, they had a few pallets of these for $199 each. These are the same speakers going for $400 most places (lowest I could find is $300)

I can't believe they charge $400. Thats almost more than an ipod. You can get 5.1s for that. At least they are not Bose which i think was $400 also. $200 is a bit more reasonable.

I agree it is too much, but keep in mind that the satellites in the ifi system are excellent. IIRC they go for more than $200 themselves, if purchased seperately.

Yes, it boggles the mind that an iPod costs that much!

Are these refurbished? Reason I asked, Klipsch had some of these a while ago on their website for $199 but they were refurbished.

I will have to check out my local Costco. Are you willing to do a fellow member a favor. If my local Costco does not have them...can you purchase me one and I will pay you for the price+shipping charges? I have been looking to buy these ever since I got my Ipod video. Let me know.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are new, but even if they aren't that wouldn't stop me. With Costco's awesome return policy this deal IS SMOKIN! Im going to reserve my set today.

Went to the Costco in Redondo Beach, CA with the intention of getting these. They had them in-stock, but I decided to get the Altec Laqnsing inMotion IM7 they had right next to these instead. The Altec Lansing was $217 vs $199 for these...I decided to go for the AL because it was very portable and optionally ran on batteries, so it'll be great for trips to the beach, park, get togethers at family's backyards, etc. I was ready to return them if they didn't have good reviews, but PC Magazine gave them editor's choice: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1822559,00.asp . I can't test them until Christmas since they're a present for my girlfriend, but they should be fine for that purpose. I already have a great Hi-Fi system at home, so the portability was more important than just the absolute best sound quality. The Klipsch are the better deal at Costco though since they go from $400 retail to $199, vs $250 retail to $217 for the AL.

I was at Costco last night and saw the Klipsch sitting there for $199 as stated...tempting, but I did not bite.

they had like 2 pallets in sacramento last night, I saw them and thought WOW klipsch in costco?

the set looks very nice

didnt know it was such a deal................as I run back to costco lol

why not just hook the ipod to your stereo , dont get the need for this ?

Yes, IIRC you can use them for your computer, and I'm sure they sound amazing. I'm going to check to see where the nearest store is!!!
