I don't know how much of a flaw will be in this system if it comes out, since Klipsch already has the quintet system, which looks alot like the Promedias.

hold your breath........
5.2 coming up in 2002
LOL
I got 4.2 system seting up and It is wonderful compare to my old sh*t DTT2200
but as my experiences, 4.2 is pretty much alike 4.1 system with seprate subs instead put 2 subs in one. The advantage of 4.2 bass is not crowded at one spot. It is wonderful for computer spkers, the best I can say......
.......and now mp3 is my world 😉

Woohoo! I finally found the 4.1 in stock somewhere at $279. I'll post where as soon as I get my confirmation e-mail. 🙂

Ahem...

I bought two sets of 4.1's (new style) at COMPUSA tonight... $290 each out the door... hurry hurry... all you disbelievers.... I can't promise all Compusa's have em... but mine did!

I will buy you one and ship it for $360.

I doubt I will have any takers... also my 2-4.00 are for sale. ~$225.00

This may be a dumb question, but Im just wondering, I have the Altec Lansing ADA880R, (the one with a remote). I was about to order one when somebody who has the 2.400 told me there isn't that much of a difference. Of course, the guy that told me this is an idiot, but that got me wondering, how much better are these speakers compared to the ADA880R? And what differences can I expect?

I got my 4.2s in, they are awesome. Don't forget you guys have to break in the speakers a bit. I've been playing music all day.

I don't know if anybody said this yet but:

And for a VERY limited time, we are offering an even sweeter deal on the 4.2 (Have any friends who want a 2.1?) Click here for this supreme deal for the ProMedia "4.2" -- dual 2.1 solution.

it's on the klipsch website, under the 2.1's

2.1's on the website

Playing music all day isn't the best way to properly break in your speakers. To do that, find a sample of "pink" noise on napster (there are quite a few audiophile mp3's on there) and run that for about 24 hours at medium volume (you'll probably want to wire the speakers out of phase and make them face each other to eliminate much of the noise and keep your sanity). I did that with my second set of Klipschs and they sound 10X better than when I neglected to break them in adequately the first time.

PNFlexxx.......could you explain in more detail why you aim them at each other and if you only aim them at each other during "break In"

Thanks

He said to face them towards each other to limit the noise and keep your sanity, I think he means so you don't have to listen to the same song for 24 hours.

roommate and i just bought a 4.2 set, gonna split it into 2 2.1 sets for each of us. total came out to 168 for shipping, handling, and tax, for each of us........

MUST STOP SPENDING MONEY... AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
