klinux question

Hey guys... just got a hold of a P100... its not much....
but i wanted to try klinux on it.
here's the thing, i don't have a keyboard and mouse for it...
can pick one up in a couple days (kinda busy right now)
anyway to boot klinux in the mean time?

You can boot it, but you won't be able to login in to, and configure it. In other words, you'll just need to wait until you have a keyboard (no mouse needed).

I have never gotten around to getting a KVM switch, so I hot swap a keyboard and video cable with no ill effects in my rack. It is a PITA if you lose power, but Klinux had been running since Christmas without a reboot until a storm knocked out the juice yesterday.

JimMc,

I can relate to that. Three of my nodes had passed the 100k block level without a reboot, until a little earthquake happened by.🙂

i would've just swapped the keyboard... but wrong adapters.... =*(
man!! why cant we just have 1 style plug for everything??
anyways... just got some cash.. hehe time to buy a new keyboard!

A different question regarding klinux -

I want to install rc5 on a mail server running linux, but my PersonalTech? informs me the link I sent him just boots up and only runs the rc5 client, nothing else. I need something that will "share the wealth", any suggestions?

yo-mama, klinux is for RC5 only, what you want is the linux dnet client, distributed.net has what you need.
