KLH L652B Bookshelf Speakers - $20 per pair at Best Buy

Not as hefty as the KLH 3-way speakers a while back, but I would suppose they'd be decent for surrounds. They have built-in hooks in the back.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to give them a listen.

Those hefty 3-way speaker that they occasionally sell for $19.99.

I haven't listened to L652B's, but if you want something a little bigger and aren't in a hurry, you could wait for the L853B's to go to $19.99 again. I've seen them priced at $20 many times, and they were nowhere near selling out (stacks and stacks of them way up high on the racks). They sound OK. Not as nice to me as my Polk middle-of-the-road 3-ways. For $20 i feel i got a deal, for $80 I'd feel a little disappointed.

I'd like to get something much smaller to use for surrounds, so I'll go check the L652B's out tomorrow.

as i said about the l853's, for 20 bucks, what u got to loose. if they suck for home theater or casual listening, stick them in the garage so u got something to listen to while u fix ur car or somethin 😉

yeah, great deal if you need some extra sound. yes we all know they aren't the best, but they're also $20. for the pair. great deal if you just need some better sound than little tinny speakers, or if you want some real cheap surround sound (that's what i used mine for)

STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD - KEEP AWAY FROM TV'S AND CRT MONITORS.

Opened up one of these today. The woofer and tweeter are not magnetically shielded, despite what the package claims. The magnets are bare, unshielded, and the woofer magnet is fairly strong. Still pleased to get them at $10 shipped, but won't be able to use them near a TV set (can mess up your colors, maybe permanently if you do not have a degaussing coil).

$10 delivered for a short while on Sunday. Got in online just before they jacked up the web price. Many report buying in-store @ $10/pair. Hot for the price.

Took a look at them today.... several in-stock at the Tacoma Mall, WA location

They sounded fine, but they were too big for my taste. They are about half the size of the big 3-ways i linked above.

If you don't mind the big size, I'd say this was very warm at $20... very hot for $10... didn't bother getting them scanned since the big size turned me off.

I was there and did have them scanned (Tacoma) $19.99/pair I passed as well, was looking for the $10.00 deal. Would of stocked up for 10 bucks a pair.
P.S. Customer service sucks in that store!

FYI, the 6.5's of these are about as big as you want to go for surround. The 8"'s are kinda cumbersome as surround speakers and I'd want better sounding ones for the front speakers anyway. Not a bad deal to make a surround package with, 60 bucks for the speakers + need to get a sub

Thanks for the heads up, IgorFL. I bought one set to test tonight, and they sound OK to me. I think I'll go back and snag another pair or so to use in the little surround setup that I'm building. Tie everything into an Onkyo TX-SR501 and I should be in good shape.

Not any more. It looks like that was an error. They were supposed to be $10 a piece, not a pair.
