Yup.
We had remodeled the bathrooms and kitchen before selling our previous home. We recouped our money but the thing is we would have sold it at about the same price even if we hadn’t done it.

We actually just started remodeling our current house. There was some things we really liked about our house and several we didn’t. When we looked at moving we realized we’d still have to fix the things we didn’t like in the new house so why not just fix what we could on our current home for less money.

You are doing right the second time around. Remodel when you want to do it & enjoy it. Don’t remodel to hope the next buyer likes your decisions.

Oh I agree. I didn’t make it clear but the remodel job on the first house was to make it livable for us. Just confirming what you said, it wasn’t worth the money if all we wanted was to increase the value and flip it. It was worth it to us to have clean updated bathrooms and kitchen.

I hate this guy so much.

The bed placement in that room is awful, actually most of the layout is a travesty.

That bedroom stands out to me as an old persons bedroom. The furniture, the single bed, the bedspread and curtains, the rug, the clock on the wall, etc. If I had to guess I would say grandpa or grandma was living with them and that was their room and their plaque along with the other stuff was his/hers. If that’s the case then the cop probably didn't think about taking it down. Not trying to defend the cop but that stuff is not enough to explain him being a collector. I guess we’ll find out if that is the case but it sure looks like it to me at this point.

Apparently the potential buyers are now getting death threats.

"On Sunday, Mathis was visited at his home by Muskegon Township police, who notified him and his family about a credible threat against their lives. The threat, which was posted on the Facebook page of a Fox affiliate in Michigan as a comment on a story about Anderson's suspension, read: “Those people looking at this house that took the picture, better open their eyes in the back of their head.”

As we have learned from the Progressheviks during the Mueller investigation, biases don't factor in when performing law enforcement work. Right? If he was a supporter of... let's say...Warren, a few Rebel flags and KKK stuff is no big deal.

Once again, not a big deal. Remember all those fine folks personally informing Tucker Carlson that they know where he lives? Heck, we can even go on national tv and demand people show up to Stephen Ross' home with pitchforks and torches. What's that you say? We should stab and strangle Moscow Mitch? It's on the honey do list. So
“Those people looking at this house that took the picture, better open their eyes in the back of their head.” isn't much of a threat and actually stuff like that is encouraged by the Progressheviks.

If S&P had biases against Trump just for being white you would have a point. Investigators voice their concerns abour perps and their crimes all the time.

Sadly, a lot of cops go into law enforcement because they love guns, love power, love feeling superior over others.
And, to work out their inner rage by pushing around others.
Not all cops, but far too many of them.
Sure, some go into law enforcement to make a difference and to make a better safer society, but then you have the others....
The others with a screw loose.
And remember, the suicide rate among cops is shockingly high. Something is not right.

I'm safely assuming that the LEO in question had to have gone through some kind of pre-hire security clearance investigation. I'm going to go out on a short limb and also assume that as part of that vetting process a question was asked whether written or orally, if the prospect was affiliated with any kind of organization that promoted acts of violence, etc. and naming specific organizations such as the KKK, White Supremacy groups and the like that would automatically disqualify the prospect from being hired.

Whether there was any follow-up in this regard to assure that the prospect's answers were forthright and accurate is where things need to be investigated further by an impartial investigation panel.

Stick to the facts and let the chips fall where they may.
So after becoming a Police officer where would his initial vetting take place?? They did not know he was a Klan member....so this had to happen after becoming a Police officer!!

Would you hire a guy as police officer if he had a swastika tattoo on his forehead? None of his actions are biased .. its just ... he has a swastika on his face.
Deal or no deal?
that depends, does it roll right or roll left?;)

I guess I missed it with all the tweets and stories, but I didn’t know they already confirmed he was a klan member. It feels like a twitter mob in here. Reminds me of the recent Adam Sandler incident. Somebody thought they found evidence that Sandler was a Trump supporter and tweeted it. The twits jumped in to hammer him until they found out it was another Adam Sandler.

Homeowners wife has already denied he is Klan member. If I'm a minority resident of this town and I discover these items in his house I have reason to be concerned for my safety until there is an investigation.

An inclination to like Elizabeth Warren or the KKK are sorta similar?

Try to be less of a fuckwit.

I would be concerned if I was a minority in the area also after seeing that. I'm not sure tweeting it was the right thing to do since they knew it would create a twitter storm instead of formally requesting an investigation. Anyway, I was reading an article on theroot.com where some speculated that the items were placed in the house to deter minorities from buying the house. It also had some additional pictures of the house in the comments. The rest of the house looks nice so it makes that room look out of place. That's why I was speculating it was grandpa's room and his items.

I find it funny that it's in Michigan. We have idiots around here in Wisconsin in their teens and 20's driving around with confederate flags on their trucks. Apparently they don't see the irony of being a northerner rooting for southern terrorists. But, free speech, you can do whatever you want in that regard, just so long as you know people might think you're an idiot.

I'm going with we'll just have to wait and see what comes of it. I have no idea why it was there, who's room it is/was or even it's intended purpose.

On the other hand did they have the right to photo his belongings without his written permission?

Does the cop have the right to sue for slander?

If a detective has photos and notes of thugs on the wall should we now be thinking he's idolizing them? Want's to become one?

Jeez....The internet and social media will be the root cause of the downfall of mankind in the end.
