Q: I've heard some bad things about the KKK. The KKK burns crosses on the yards of black people.
This couldn't be further from the truth. First off, the original klan didn't light a cross at all. It was a tradition started in the 20's and it was a religious ceremony - not an act of terror. The cross lighting ceremony signifies the fiery light of Christ - just as the Methodist church uses a cross on fire as their emblem.

The true measure of freedom is not in letting people do as you please, but in letting them do what offends you most.

I would not want to live in a country that put any limits on groups like the KKK. However, I'd like to live in a country where people didn't WANT to believe as groups like the KKK... But that ain't gonna happen any time soon.

Exposing these groups to the light of day removes much of the mysticism, and therefore attraction, from them. The further you push them down the more resilient you make them.
One of the things Jesse Jackson said, that I agree with, is that the Black community has less to fear from the KKK that they do the BBB (Bad Black Brothers) in their own neighborhoods. Meaning that inner city crime is the real danger.

In Seattle there is a car dealership that sell vintiage cars called Kompact Kar Korner.
In Colfax WA there is a radio station called K. Klux and a shop (not there anymore) called Klick Klock Klocks.

It's pretty sad that they are there but the real sad thing is that people don't put 2 & 2 together.

So your theory is that english phrases that involve words beginning with the letter "K" are wrong because you look at them and see KKK? Perhaps some introspection is in order. I doubt that in any of the cases you cited above was the intention to allude to the Ku Klux Klan.
