(kk266) usb won't let my system boot off...

i have gotten a couple of usb mice to work no problem with my kk266, but when i try to shut down the system it keeps clicking and the lights and fans continue to run. as soon as i unplug the mouse, it shuts down just fine.

i have downloaded many patches and updates with no success. also, the usb is sharing irq 12 with the ACPI irq holder. the acpi seems to be on irq 10 and 11 as well.

any suggestions?

i have tried w2k and now I have win98. it's an iwill kk266 mb

I missed it in your post the board type, anyway did you try the USB filter driver 1.08?

yes i did, i also loaded the microsoft via usb patch.

I`m shooting in the dark here but did you try disabling power management in Bios and OS?

its a known issue w/ your BIOS (I asked the same question a few days ago)

Pick the KK266 from "Pure Motherboard", then choose a BIOS

I haven't actually done it yet, so let me know if it works, or if you find another way to fix it!

it worked! seems when i first flashed the bios i went with 0508. bios 0426 did the job
