(kk266) usb won't let my system boot off...

i have gotten a couple of usb mice to work no problem with my kk266, but when i try to shut down the system it keeps clicking and the lights and fans continue to run. as soon as i unplug the mouse, it shuts down just fine.

i have downloaded many patches and updates with no success. also, the usb is sharing irq 12 with the ACPI irq holder. the acpi seems to be on irq 10 and 11 as well.

any suggestions?
