Poor kitty- She was throwing up all week- I've been giving her the hairball goop regularly too. So just now she coughed up a big one- I thought- "Ah, that must be it". Then she coughed up another one the same size! That's a new one on me.

Damn long-hairs! Lol.

I know how you feel. I have 2 long haired.. Im thinking of shaving them! They spit up hairballs all the time.. at one point the youngest one would eat the others puke. It was so disgusting.

I have two littermates. They're like 11yrs old now, and one does love the others puke. Delicious!

I know what you mean. :D

I'm always finding "fur hot dogs" and the occasional puke around the house. The oldest one of our 3 cats, a Persian mix (with Maine my excellent compatriot we think) has beautiful long fur, but he leaves fur EVERYWHERE. The place gets vacuumed and is spotless for about 5 seconds before we find clumps of fur on the floor.

But, I wouldn't trade these little guys in for anything. Just part of the fun of kitties. :D

Poor kitty!! :(

This is exactly why I love short hairs. They don't cough up near as many hair balls as the long haired cats.

Are you brushing it regularly? We gave one of our Himalayans that hairball treatment stuff and it gave the poor guy the runs (NOT a pretty site for a long haired cat)

I have one short hair cat and one long hair cat. The long haired cat is always dropping fur and coughing up hair balls and my short hair one doesn't and she feels left out so she eats the long haired cats fur on the floor and coughs up some nasty hair balls.

I have two long hair cats and I shave them all the time. They love it. They even lie still (almost) while I'm doing it. It really cuts the hairball thing down to nothing.

I've tried all the hairball remedies out there and none of them work.

Yep. Guess they want to spread it over as much carpet as possible. :D

I actually had one of the cats yak on an end table the other day. I guess someone was laying on the back of the couch next to said end table and got sick. Cats.... (shakes head) :D
